9 Next WWE Steps For Seth Rollins
8. Seth Rollins Vs. Kevin Owens
And the very first stop on that babyface run looks set to be
a date with the newly-crowned WWE Universal Champion, Kevin Owens.
On this week’s Raw, just moments after Stephanie McMahon had tried to suspend him, Mick Foley instead confirmed that Rollins would be afforded a rematch for the WWE Universal Championship at the Clash of the Champions pay-per-view on Sep. 25. Not a bad turnaround for the challenger then.
Don’t expect this to be one and done though - personally I can see this feud having plenty more legs in it.
If Rollins is indeed going to be pushed as a face, which looks all but certain at this point, you can’t imagine there are too many guys who are going to rank ahead of him. Similarly, now that he’s the champion, Owens is essentially the top heel on the Raw roster. Other than Triple H or Steph, perhaps.
That dichotomy means that these two look set to wage more than just a one-off war, which can only be a good thing for fans of great promos and even better matches.
