9 Reasons Nikki Bella Outlasting AJ Lee's WWE Diva Title Reign Was Best For Business
7. The Title Needs To Be Prestigious
While Nikki herself hasnt done much to bring a lot of prestige to the WWE Divas championship, even going so far as to say that wins and losses dont matter during a segment of MizTV, the fact is that the longer someone holds a title the more valued it becomes, at least when logic is applied. Granted logic isnt always a tool used by the people scripting WWE television, but it stands to reason that a belt would be more valuable if it doesnt change hands on a frequent basis. Look no further than the excellent rehab job John Cena did with the previously worthless United States title, adding prestige and luster to a belt that had meant very little prior to his winning it. Simply put, longer reigns make the championship mean more, and having It in the hands of one wrestler for so long rather than playing musical belts has gone a long way in making the title a more coveted commodity.
