9 Things We Need To See At WWE Clash Of Champions 2017

1. Daniel Bryan Heel Turn

At Survivor Series, we saw Stephanie McMahon plant the idea of a SmackDown brand ran solely by Daniel Bryan. And since then, it seems the General Manager has been planning something.

On Tuesday night, with Shane McMahon on the verge of firing Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn, Bryan showed up to talk the Commissioner out of it. Then, at the end of the night, and with Shane under the assumption that Bryan would ultimately carry out the firing himself, he instead booked Owens into a match next week, thus keeping him in a job.

In short, it seems Bryan and Shane are singing from different hymn sheets, and that the former could be in cahoots with Owens and Zayn somehow. As such, and providing Owens and Zayn face Orton and Shane at the PPV, it feels like the right time to pull the trigger on the rumoured Bryan heel turn.

Granted, he remains one of the biggest babyfaces the company has on its books, but given how this storyline is panning out—and factoring in Bryan’s indie history—it almost seems like too good an opportunity to pass up right now. Have him come out and help Owens and Zayn win, and in doing create a new super-faction.

In the continued absence of an in-ring return, this may be the best way to utilise his character in his current General Manager role.
