6. Let Go Of The Attitude Era
The Attitude era was and remains the WWEs most successful era by far. It catapulted WWE to mainstream popularity and garnered a huge viewing audience. Despite the success and stars it created, there still remains an unhealthy obsession among fans for it to return to todays product. With the amount of articles based around this era, you would have thought it happened just yesterday. The Attitude era is a thing of the past, and many fans recognise that, yet there still remains a large group of fans who truly believe a return to this format would instantly bring back viewers. WWE themselves are largely to blame for this mindset, with WWE 2K games focusing on the era in showcase modes. Its like they want to keep reminding us that this era was a much better period of wrestling when compared to today. Whilst the nostalgia pops for the likes of Shawn Michaels returning is understandable, its time we fully embraced the wealth of talented wrestlers that the current roaster has to offer. We don't need bra and panties matches when Sasha and Charlotte can go out and kill it for twenty minutes on PPV. If fans are constantly reminded about how great the Attitude era was, then how can the current roaster and product expect to flourish when fans are fixated on events that happened nearly twodecades ago?
