Looking to avenge his loss to Vince McMahon the year prior, Pat McAfee made a surprise appearance at WrestleMania 39 to challenge an unlikely foe.

As mentioned earlier, The Miz and Snoop Dogg were hosting Mania that year. On the first night, McAfee came out to face Miz in an impromptu bout. During the match, Miz tangled with San Francisco 49ers star George Kittle, who punched the A-Lister behind the referee’s back, enabling McAfee to pick up the win.

As “comedy” matches go, this was simultaneously inoffensive and not funny. It provided fans with a pop for the returning McAfee and silenced the loudmouth Miz, but that was about it.
