9 Ups & 1 Down From Last Night's WWE SmackDown (Sept 25)

Ups...

9. This Is... Fine?

Asuka Naomi Sonya Deville

Though there are still questions to be asked and concerns to be explored when it comes to the Asuka/Naomi alliance, last night's match with Mandy Rose and Sonya Deville was an acceptable display of unity ahead of the babyfaces' clash with The IIconics at Super Show-Down.

It didn't need to be any longer than the allotted four minutes. Rose and Deville had plenty of time to work a little offence, ensuring they didn't look like complete goobers in defeat, though they were always there to lose. Besides, Asuka and Naomi have only been teaming for a few weeks. They shouldn't be running through lesser opponents just yet, because they're still building cohesion, so tick another box for that.

Taking a "wait and see" approach is the right thing to do with the Asuka/Naomi situation at the moment, but WWE are at least doing a competent job of building to their Australian bout.
