9 Ups & 1 Down From Last Night's WWE SmackDown (Sept 25)

7. Milwaukee

Rusev and Lana were out for answers from Aiden English following last week's betrayal, but didn't quite get what they were looking for from 'The Shakespeare Of Song.'

An earnest 'Bulgarian Brute' barely had time to run through what had happened before English emerged from the back, taking full credit for his former partner's surge in popularity. He showed a vignette, stated that they were on course to becoming legends, then pointed the finger at Lana, claiming that their dissolution was everything to do with her meddling ways.

The former United States Champion refused to by this, so Aiden dropped a potential bombshell, encouraging Lana to tell her husband about "that one night in Milwaukee. Mic drop complete.

As always, WWE's follow-up will be critical. Lana and affair angles don't tend to go well together (see: The Rock, Dolph Ziggler), but who knows? Perhaps English was just stirring the pot, planting seeds, and being a d*ckhead for being a d*ckhead's sake. Let's see how it plays out.
