The tale going into last night's clash between Toothless Timmy & Ol' Man Ciampa and The Bruiserweight & The former NXT Tag Team Champion who never lost his belt was simple; who was really the baddest team in NXT?

Living up to the "scrap" moniker and then some, you'll be pleased to hear that both units made it their mission to turn their opponents into a blistered and beaten mess in the middle of the ring. The ever-growing chemistry between the foes-turned-friends Tommaso Ciampa and Timothy Thatcher continued to shine as the duo played their adversaries' chests like human drums. Yet, it wasn't long before Oney Lorcan and Pete Dunne returned the favour with their own variety of chops and the latter's penchant for digit snapping.

However, the headline coming out of this collision ended up coming a little out of left field as none other than Ridge Holland reared his Yorkshire head in the closing stages to cost Tommaso and Timmy the contest. One Bitter End to Blackheart later, Holland was in the mood to make a statement to a CWC that appears to have finally found its voice, slamming Thatch into the ropes a few times and sealing the segment with a Yorkshire kiss to the former NXT Champion.

Aligning the green Yorkshireman with this bitter and violent duo seems like a wise move all around. Dunne and Lorcan now boast an equaliser capable of matching just about any other faction in town, and Holland has found arguably the most beneficial learning tree on the brand to sit under for the foreseeable future.
