Tenille Dashwood vs. Jordynne Grace was fine at best when it went down three times at the end of September last year, but that was far from the case here. This did nothing for anyone.
Doing very little in the first half of the bout led to the pair having to make use of all of their trademark offence in the second half. This meant that in a matter of minutes, we saw the corner Crossbody and Tarantula from Dashwood, and the multiple scoop slams, fallaway slam, and corner back elbow from Grace. It was like playing as a 100 rated create-a-wrestler on a WWE 2K game vs. a 25 rated guy, i.e. not good.
The ending was somewhat alright. Grace slingshotted into the ring, cinching in a rear naked choke in a seamless effort. Kaleb distracted her, Rachael got involved, and Tenille reversed a Grace Driver into a small package for the win. Fine.
Clearly, this whole Tenille arc is acting as a transitional story to get us to the inevitable Jordynne vs. Rachael match. That doesn’t mean those involved should be treating it as a transitional story, though. Grace laying out Kaleb post-match doesn’t act as a heel turn tease, for example. It simply wasn’t enjoyable.
