9 Ups & 5 Downs From Last Night's WWE SmackDown (Jan 15)

F*ck yeah, Andrade.

Nights like this are what we talk about when we ask for a bigger push for the former 'Cien.' He doesn't need to be hot-shotted into the WWE Title picture, nor does he need to be battering the likes of AJ Styles and Daniel Bryan. All he needs are showcase singles bouts highlighting his prodigious in-ring talents, and victories over credible wrestlers that push his and Zelina Vega's act forward, whether clean or dirty. Last night's Rey Mysterio clash delivered exactly that.

More on the match later, but having Andrade go over through Vega's interference was the right move. Clean wins are great, and we'd generally like to see more of them, but the guy's a heel. He should be scoring victories by being a piece of sh*t, and finishes like this will help get him over.

After starring in last week's all-star tag (and scoring the pinfall) and defeating Mysterio yesterday, it feels like the former La Sombra's main roster career is finally on the right track. Here's to his continued success.
