There’s no reason to lament the treatment of Andrade on Raw at this point. It’s clear WWE views its secondary champ as a punching bag to the WWE Champion, and while that might seem somewhat counterproductive, at least it’s building up the main man on the brand.

Drew McIntyre once again thrashed Andrade on Raw Monday night in a competitive match that saw the WWE champ overcome a damaged arm to Claymore the United States Champion. The announcers played up the dissension between Zelina Vega’s stable members as a possible reason for Andrade losing, but that was a pretty poor excuse since neither Austin Theory nor Angel Garza were at ringside.

For now, it appears WWE is letting it ride with McIntyre, which is great. It’s just a shame he’s finally getting his chance on top with no crowd to react to him.
