9 Ups And 4 Downs From WWE Raw (May 11)

8. Lashley No-Nonsense Victory

If WWE is truly going to book Bobby Lashley as a monster who mows down opponents like he did to Humberto Carrillo Monday night, then they best go all-in.

When Lashley returned to WWE, he had the potential to dominate and be a force on Raw. This writer thought he could be groomed to be a legit challenger for Brock Lesnar (two former blue-chip prospects in WWE who left after just a couple years and went on to compete in MMA). But instead, Lashley experienced stalled pushes and never reached higher than Intercontinental Champion.

But Monday night, Lashley continued his recent dominance, running through Carrillo and putting him away with a full nelson he locked in after plucking Humberto out of the sky. It was a convincing win, which is what he needs to keep doing.

If WWE pulls the rug out from under him again though… then it’s all over for him. We best not see some soap operatic angle with Lana suddenly.
