9 Wrestlers Who Had Backstage Heat With Roman Reigns
6. Cody Rhodes
Cody Rhodes and Roman Reigns ended a 2-year rivalry at WrestleMania 40 when Rhodes defeated The Tribal Chief to finish his story and win the Undisputed WWE Championship. The two superstars have shared the ring on multiple occasions, and Rhodes even pinned Reigns to win the tag team titles with his brother Goldust back in 2014, but apart from their in-ring rivalries, they also developed an off-screen rivalry.
After Rhodes left WWE in 2016, he reinvented himself on the independent circuit and won his first major world title by capturing the ROH World Championship in June 2017. After one of his successful title defenses, Rhodes claimed to be the biggest draw in all of pro wrestling in a backstage interview. Fans tweeted the video to Reigns and asked for his opinion, and The Tribal Chief replied by saying Rhodes didn't draw over 100K like he did at WrestleMania 32.
I don’t even need to click the link and watch it. If that house didn’t draw over 100K. He’s just talking silly. #WalkOverTalk https://t.co/azQyqDpHUN

Rhodes responded to Reigns' comment in a shoot promo by referencing the latter's failed drug test in 2016. The two superstars had to wait seven more years to settle their differences in the ring, and they did it three times on the Grandest Stage Of Them All.
