9 Wrestling Stipulations That Are Better Than Getting Fired
4. Only The Last Man Eliminated Gets Fired
This entry stems from the absurd idea that John Cena would ever get fired. He was fired during his feud with the Nexus, and Vince once threatened to fire him during his WWE Title feud with CM Punk. In both cases, the threat was about as believable as Ric Flair wrestling for the WWE again. What wouldve been a better stipulation would be for only the last surviving man on Team Cena to get fired, while the rest of the team suffered some other kind of punishment. This stipulation would, of course, rest on the idea that John Cena gets eliminated from the match and it not the last man on his team. Running such an angle would allow whichever remaining member of Team Cena to truly show off their skills as both a wrestler and at playing to the crowd. That Superstar, be it Rowan, Ziggler, Big Show or Ryback, would now be facing termination, as well as the fact that their loss would lead to the continued existence of the Authority in WWE. It would certainly add some more excitement to the latter end of the match, when Team Cena would be down to its final members. But for all of Team Cena to get fired is simply lazy booking; firing a random Superstar based on elimination order would make for a more surprising and unexpected match.
