4. The New Day (c) Vs. AJ Styles & Omos

WWE's booking of the build to this match was perhaps too big for its own good. More's the pity too - the booking of the match was perfectly pitched to protect one of WWE's biggest new investments.

In the run-up, Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods lectured AJ Styles and Omos about not being in sync enough to approach their level. It obscured panic about falling afoul of 'The Phenomenal One's giant partner, as did they layout of the match. The Champions cut the ring in half until Style made his escape. Doom followed from the moment Omos tagged in.

He didn't do much, but everything he hit counted double and mattered even more. WWE, contrary to sh*tloads of evidence elsewhere in the company, can still do this stuff well.

Fans went ballistic for his every step, including the one on Kofi Kingston's chest as the duo became new Tag Team Champions. AJ Styles hitting the Phenomenal Forearm from his broad shoulders only enhanced the aesthetic.
