AEW: 10 Things You Didn’t Know About MJF
8. Ryback’s Response To His Namecheck
As part of their ongoing feud, you probably saw MJF call CM Punk, “The New Ryback,” on a recent AEW Dynamite. This was in light of what Max alleges are, “a string of underwhelming matches against underwhelming opponents.” The insult was all the more barbed because of the well known antipathy between Ryback and Punk.
What you might have missed is “The Big Guy’s” clap back. After his mentions presumably blew up, Ryback took to Twitter to say the following:-
Thanks for the shoutout @The_MJF Now you have your big chance at being an enhancement talent working with an underwhelming opponent. #FeedMeMore
Of course Ryback has already said he’d be interested in working for Tony Khan’s promotion, with a tease ahead of 2019’s Double Or Nothing coming to nothing. So maybe the former WWE superstar is trying to work his way into an onscreen role here.
It’s probably a long shot however, as fans reacted in mock horror when Tony Nese recently joked that Ryback was Tony Khan’s latest big signing. Don’t hold your breath for the big Ryback/MJF feud to hit our screens.
