Wait, what?!

CM Punk is already scheduled for a love letter clash penned to long-time ROH fans earlier in the night. He'll go one on one with old rival Samoa Joe for the "Real World Championship". Yes, yes the fact that AEW World Title with some nWo spray paints on it even exists is a bit messy, but things could get messier.

What if Punk puts Joe to the sword and gets a taste for Wembley? Then, he'd successfully goad MJF into putting his own belt on the line at short notice. Then, like he's Hulkamania running wild, Punk would beat Friedman and rule the roost with both World straps. Oh, that stings just to type.

This wouldn't be a sweet look for AEW given everything that's gone on behind the scenes. Handing Punk even more power, and cutting down a rising star like MJF in the process, would p*ss a lot of folks off and make them question Tony Khan's leadership.
