AEW Announcer Praises WWE; Says Royal Rumble Angle "Went Too Long"

This AEW man thought that Roman Reigns/Sami Zayn business at WWE Royal Rumble was "too long".

Tony Schiavone loved WWE's recent angle involving Roman Reigns, Sami Zayn, Kevin Owens and the rest of The Bloodline at Royal Rumble 2023, but...

...the AEW announcer thinks it might've gone on a bit "too long".

Schiavone told listeners tuning into his 'What Happened When' podcast that WWE produced "very, very good drama" towards the end of the pay-per-view. However, he thinks they could've shaved off just a little bit of time to make everything a bit snappier.

Countless pro wrestling fans and critics will disagree with that, but Tony is obviously entitled to his own opinion. To Schiavone, Reigns/Zayn/Kevin Owens/The Bloodline should've kept things on the shorter side, especially on pay-per-view in front of such a large crowd.

In fairness, it didn't seem like anybody in attendance at the Alamodome had a problem with the timing - they were all far too busy being sucked into the drama and Sami's babyface turn on Reigns. That played before a monster pop from the San Antonio masses, and rightly so.

Tony would've liked it even more had the segment been chopped down a little though. Each to their own.
