AEW Double Or Nothing 2021: 10 Things That Must Happen
4. Injuries Haunt Orange Cassidy
This will be the first Triple Threat encounter AEW has booked for its top prize on pay-per-view. That's rather remarkable considering the weakness of some one-on-one challengers, but it's necessary here. Neither PAC nor Orange Cassidy had enough time to build up significant-enough beef with Kenny Omega.
Granted, PAC has way more history with the champ, but yeah - the point stands.
Come bell time, Cassidy's injuries need to be a factor. Kenny and Don Callis tried to get Orange to waive his right to challenge (under the guise of caring about his well-being), but that didn't work. So, come Double Or Nothing, Omega should be out to teach the young upstart a lesson.
There's a simple story to tell here, and it can lead to a singles match between Kenny and Orange down the road. Omega must punish Cassidy, and that same fire the laid-back underdog showed against Chris Jericho and others can then rear its head.
It shouldn't be enough to take Omega's baby away.
