AEW just scored their seventh consecutive triumph over NXT in the so-called Wednesday Night Wars, with Dynamite widening the viewership gap between the upstart promotion and WWE's most critically acclaimed brand.

Dynamite's viewership increased to an average of 957,000 from the previous week's 822,000. As far as the key 18-49 demographic goes, the rating moved from 0.35 to 0.43

NXT's numbers, meanwhile, fell from an average of 813,000 on 6 November to 750,000 this week, with the demo going from 0.30 to 0.25.

As usual, Dynamite trumped NXT in every demographic other than viewers over 50, with the WWE show beating AEW by 0.35 to 0.29. AEW's numbers are extremely close to those over 23 October, which was the promotion's last weekly show before the MLB World Series came through and dented both brands' viewerships.

Full Gear is the probable reason behind AEW's leap. While not the promotion's most consistent pay-per-view, moments like MJF turning on Cody helped create buzz for the product, and it'll be extremely interesting to see if the show retains these viewers next week. NXT, meanwhile, could draw greater numbers with their WarGames go-home show.
