AEW Dynamite Posts Best Ratings In Nearly A Year, Key Demo Up As Well
All Elite's flagship show cracks 1 million viewers for fourth consecutive week.
Wednesday's episode of AEW Dynamite posted its best rating in a year, averaging 1.18 million viewers and scoring a 0.39 in the 18-49 demographic, making it the #1 cable show for that demo that night.
The biggest TV audience since the 22 September 2021 episode (1.27 million) tuned in despite no CM Punk, Young Bucks or Kenny Omega due to their ongoing suspensions. The show was bookended by semifinal matches in the Grand Slam Tournament of Champions to crown a new AEW World Champion.
Jon Moxley and Bryan Danielson won their respective matches and will square off for the world title next week at AEW Dynamite Grand Slam. It's worth noting that last year's Grand Slam was that 22 September show that popped Dynamite's third-biggest rating ever.
Wrestling Observer noted that Wednesday's audience represented a 13.5-percent increase from last week, while the 18-49 demo was up 2.6 percent from last week.

Brandon Thurston from Wrestlenomics pointed out that the key demo was its highest since 1 June.
The recent backstage turmoil from the post-All Out media scrum and fight hasn't derailed AEW, which is heading into Grand Slam with the most momentum (ratings-wise) they've had since this same time last year.
Whether they can maintain that momentum and continue to post strong numbers is an open question, but after some critics chided AEW for Dynamite rarely cracking 1 million viewers in recent months, the show has bested that number for four consecutive weeks.
