AEW Dynamite Technical Issues: What REALLY Happened This Week

Technical gremlins gobbled up AEW Dynamite this week, but it wasn't AEW's fault.

The production goblins had their way with this week's AEW Dynamite, causing a major audio glitch early in the broadcast that effectively rendered the latest Adam Cole/Roderick Strong pretaped unwatchable (or more specifically, unlistenable).

Dynamite's audio dropped during the vignette, leaving it close to inaudible. This was seemingly exclusive to TBS in the United States, as well as TSN in Canada (which mirrors the US feed), and didn't impact FITE viewers.

Dave Meltzer reported on Wrestling Observer Radio that this wasn't an issue emanating from the arena. Rather, it was a fault on TBS' behalf. AEW ended up replaying the segment later in the show, acknowledging the audio issues - so grand was their impact.

It marked the second consecutive week of production problems stemming from AEW's television partners.

Meanwhile, Fightful Select states that TBS' parent company, Warner Bros. Discovery, claimed they were also aware of a mistake in Dynamite's listing this past Wednesday. This is understood to have caused viewership problems for the show. One WBD called the situation "inexcusable", adding that they felt bad for the Tony Khan-helmed wrestling company.

AEW is understood to have been frustrated by the issues, which they frequently get the blame for. This was entirely out of their control.
