AEW Full Gear: 10 Things That Must Happen

9. MJF Vs. Sammy Guevara Is Added

Spanish God vs. The Scarf.

At first, it was tempting to suggest that MJF and Sammy camp out around ringside for the main event, but that's not strictly necessary. On the Buy In, this match would be set up as a precursor story to that World Title match. Both are disciples of Jericho and Cody, after all, and they were both involved in that Dynamite-ending melee.

If AEW fancy kicking off the pay-per-view proper with two young lions giving their all, then there's no better choice than MJF vs. Guevara. On commentary, Jim Ross, Tony Schiavone and Excalibur would gush about how they're the future of the industry, and compare them to the veterans working the main.

AEW have to realise that there's no rush with either guy, and that's especially true of MJF's somewhat inevitable heel turn on Cody. Let it breathe, because there's another out for the World Title match that doesn't sprint through months of TV in two minutes.
