7. American Top Team Vs. Inner Circle
The MMA vs. wrestling thing AEW are trying to do with American Top Team and The Inner Circle hasn't gripped this viewer at all. All would've been forgiven had they produced a tight brawl at Full Gear, but this 'Minneapolis Street Fight' went waaaaaay too long.
Chris Jericho ending it by effectively bullying a heel manager was...certainly a choice as well. There's a fine line between obnoxious heel comeuppance and prolonged kickings that almost/kinda/nearly heap sympathy on the bad guy. This wasn't quite as good as the quick pastings Bobby Heenan used to take, put it that way.
Fingers crossed this feud is finished.
Top Team vs. Inner Circle has been a noose round Jericho and co's necks for a while now - it's been poor follow up to rivalries with The Elite and The Pinnacle. This also didn't offer the same slick and chaotic bump-rush fun as the other big pier six on the card.
