5. Miro Vs. Bryan Danielson

Miro was a late sub for Jon Moxley, so he and Bryan Danielson had that working against them from the off. Smartly though, they delivered a slow-burner that focused on two distinct elements. Firstly, Miro tried to slow things down and tame the 'American Dragon' at every turn.

JR explained that on comms by saying he liked that Miro kept countering all of Bry's big moves with his power game. Then, when the Bulgarian brute got knackered, Danielson ramped things up a little again; that naturally brought the pace back up for a sprint towards the finish.

This match wasn't a classic that'll be remembered for years to come, but it was functional and retained enough of that hard-hitting grit that all of Bryan's matches should have. It was predictably well-worked. Plus, and this is really interesting to report, it was a bout between two ex-WWE stars who wouldn't have had this freedom over there.

Can't see that knockout-into-submission style finish flying under Vince McMahon.
