AEW Full Gear 2022: 10 Nightmares That Could Come True

6. AEW Goes Cold On The Acclaimed

This would be flushing money down the toilet.

The Acclaimed's "Scissor Me, Daddy Ass!" gimmick has become one of the most over things in all of pro wrestling, not just in AEW. Meanwhile, Keith Lee and Swerve Strickland coming together as 'Swerve In Our Glory' is fairly mediocre. You'd get beaten up for wearing that t-shirt in public*.

Every major company tricks itself into thinking fans will dump on pay-per-views if they don't see a couple of title switches though. So, maybe the Tag-Team Titles will get shunted off Max Caster and Anthony Bowens onto Lee and Swerve so they can work some more awkward interaction/prolong their split story.

You've seen this sketch before: Lee and Strickland would stare at one another like, 'Did that just happen?!'. At ringside, Billy Gunn would have his hands on his head wondering if The Acclaimed gravy train has run dry before it even started running at all.

*DISCLAIMER: That's not actually true, don't fret.
