AEW: Ranking Every 2020 Signing's Run From Best To Worst
10. Matt Hardy
Before his return to McMahon-land in 2017, Matt Hardy had reinvented himself with his "Broken" persona and, in doing so, changed the way many people viewed what wrestling could be. So, when "Broken" Matt turned up in AEW in March, many mouths began to drool.
Hardy's run in the company started out strong, as he essentially filled in for Adam Page during the early stages of the pandemic. His early tag matches alongside Kenny Omega against various members of the Inner Circle gave AEW fans one of the most memorable moments of the year when Hardy ran down Sammy Guevara in a golf cart. Matt then took part in the acclaimed "Stadium Stampede" match at Double or Nothing, before transitioning into his "Multifarious" gimmick for the remainder of the year.
Since then, Matt hasn't come close to the heights of Stadium Stampede, and the latter half of his run in AEW this year has been dogged with controversy - most notably the horrendous injury he suffered at All Out.
His current storyline with Private Party feels like it's building to something, but for now, for his stellar work in the first half of 2020, Matt Hardy scores a "Wonderfulllllll" tenth place on this list.
