As last night’s emotional episode of AEW Dynamite came to a close, Tony Khan presented Brodie Lee’s 8-year-old son with the TNT Championship and made him “TNT Champion for life”.

On the Dynamite post-show, Tony Schiavone revealed that the active TNT Championship held by Darby Allin will now be getting a new design. Schiavone confirmed that the current design of the TNT Championship will be retired, but he reiterated that the actually prize itself – currently held by Darby Allin – will not be taken out of commission.

As Schiavone put it:

“Little Brodie, -1 if you will, is always going to have that TNT belt. We’ll come up with a new belt. That’ll be his. The particular belt that was given to Little Brodie tonight has been retired, not the TNT Championship itself.”

The new design of the TNT Championship is expected to be first seen when Darby Allin defends the title against Brian Cage on the second night of AEW’s New Year’s Smash event on January 13.

Earlier this week, it was revealed that Brodie Lee Jr. has already signed a legitimate AEW contract to join the company when he’s older.
