According to Wrestling Observer Live’s Bryan Alvarez, up to 10,000 tickets were sold today for AEW’s TV premiere – which is, whatever way you look at it, a ridiculous number!

AEW’s first two-hour TV offering emanates from Washington, D.C.’s Capital One Arena. Already announced for the episode are Cody vs. Sammy Guevara, The Young Bucks and Kenny Omega vs. Chris Jericho an two mystery partners, a match to crown the first ever AEW Women’s Champion, and an appearance from Jon Moxley.

After 18 years of monopoly from Vince McMahon’s WWE, it looks as if there is finally a chance for the wrestling landscape to evolve and be brimming with competition in a mainstream sense should AEW hit the ground running when they hit TNT on October 2nd.
