AEW TNT Championship: Predicting All 8 Men In The Tournament

5. Shawn Spears

Once AEW gets its Women's Division in order, then the only major obvious failing on their part is going to be Shawn Spears. He left WWE with the same wave of hype as many of his colleagues, with a sense of being entirely wasted by a company that wouldn't know talent if it literally managed to make shouting a number the most over thing at a Royal Rumble.

But, for whatever reason, it just hasn't clicked for him in AEW. A headline-grabbing (in some cases for the wrong reasons) feud Cody Rhodes saw him elevated up the card, but since then he's slowly tumbled back down it and now finds himself turning his nose up at potential tag team partners on episodes of Dark.

But, despite all of this, he's still Shawn Spears. For the time being at least his name carries with it more recognition than a lot of other members of the roster and, with nothing better to do at the moment, he's a hugely appealing scalp in the first round. His stock can't really fall much further at the moment, but he can help elevate that of someone else.
