AEW X NJPW Forbidden Door 2022: 10 Things That Must Happen

1. CM Punk Appears For A Staredown

End the pay-per-view with a tease.

Yes, seriously. There's no reason why CM Punk can't be there to watch Moxley vs. Tanahashi (with a tear in his eye) from a skybox, then react to Jon winning a title he should've been in that ring defending against the Japanese great. Emotions would get the better of Punk here.

Seeing him interrupt Mox's victory celebrations to go nose-to-nose with him would be fun, but so would Punk sarcastically clapping Jon's second run as AEW World Champ. It'd be smart to start the build early before All Elite then embarks on a quest to make Moxley the man yet again.

Punk vs. Moxley has future PPV headliner written all over it anyway. They could easily ride this thing out until later in the year. All Out in September, maybe? Failing that, how about November's Full Gear? Failing that, AEW could promote a special simply called 'Punk vs. Moxley'. UFC style.
