This writer hasn't been too enamoured with Thunder Rosa's title reign to date. Her chase towards the gold, and pursuit of Britt Baker, was way more entertaining than her stint as champ thus far. This is a common problem in AEW circles: Tony Khan knows how to write fun chases when a change is imminent, but some title runs are all-too-bland before that.
Toni Storm should cut Rosa's reign short at approx 100 days. There's a chance that AEW fans will boo the sh*t out of her for 'being pushed too hard as an ex-WWE star', but...does anybody really care about that? Besides, her early months in this company have been meh, and getting heel heat would give Toni some actual purpose on a bloated roster.
Boy, does she ever need it. Storm has the chops to play heel if need be, and she's just waiting for something to sink her teeth into. This could be that "something".
