Cody Rhodes has claimed that All Elite Wrestling cannot become reactionary if WWE NXT is to move from Wednesday nights to Tuesdays, as was reported yesterday.

Speaking during today's Revolution media call, the AEW EVP said that if NXT does switch nights, another show could conceivably move into their old Wednesday timeslot. If that happens, AEW will strive to continue putting out the best show possible rather than reacting.

Rhodes added that any show that wants to outdo Dynamite's ratings will have to put on a better show than them.

Acknowledging the occasional digs between the two companies, Rhodes said that the locker-rooms generally love each other. Members of the WWE and AEW management teams are the ones pointing at each other, but it's strictly business, there's a friendly relationship, and Tony Khan is a "different kind of executive."

Finally, Cody said that while he'd love for Dynamite to be alone on Wednesdays, different competition may emerge, so he'll see what happens.

WWE and USA Network are yet to officially confirm NXT's move to Tuesday nights. The switch would likely bode well for both NXT and Dynamite's ratings, as evidenced by considerable increases on the few occasions the shows ran unopposed last year.
