New All Elite Wrestling World Champion Kenny Omega is heading to Impact Wrestling next week.

This was announced at the end of last night's AEW Winter Is Coming show, on which 'The Cleaner' defeated Jon Moxley to take the World Title thanks to an assist from Impact Executive Vice President Don Callis.

Callis, who had been providing guest commentary, slipped Omega a microphone. Kenny used this to bust Moxley open before finishing him off with the One Winged Angel. Omega and Callis then fled the scene, with Callis promising him and Kenny would explain everything on Tuesday, not Wednesday, confirming 'The Best Bout Machine's' Impact appearance.

Boatloads of AEW and Impact stars are currently going back and forth on Twitter, suggesting that a full-on working relationship may have already been stuck. FTR have targeted the Motor City Machine Guns, Jordynne Grace tagged Hikaru Shida, Nyla Rose, Penelope Ford, and Britt Baker, while Impact summed it up nicely themselves:-

Callis' first AEW appearance came at Full Gear 2020, where he did guest commentary for Omega's match with Hangman Page. His personal relationship with Kenny stretches beyond AEW's short lifespan.

We'll bring you more details on this developing situation as they arrive.
