Will Little Miss Bliss be forced to take time off?

WWE.com are reporting that Alexa Bliss suffered an injury to her left shoulder at last night's Backlash pay-per-view.

The injury occurred during her Raw Women's Title match against Nia Jax, though it's unclear exactly when Bliss was hurt. She and Jax did run an arm-related spot earlier in the bout, but that was with Alexa's right arm, and it didn't appear she landed badly on any bumps either.

There's no word on whether or not this injury will force Bliss to take time off from the road, or how long it'll take for the damage to heal. The only word WWE gave on their official website was that the heel was "currently awaiting further medical evaluation".

WWE then offered to keep fans up to date on the situation.

The brief nature of the report may suggest that this is another attempt by management to script an injury. They did something similar post-Greatest Royal Rumble with Daniel Bryan; after having his chest chopped red raw, Bryan was said to have a chest infection and missed the next episode of SmackDown.

Could this be another chapter in Alexa's ongoing crusade to paint Jax as a bully, or is it something more? We'll know if she shows up on tonight's Raw.
