11. Kofi Kingston Vs. Dolph Ziggler - 2010

I’ll admit, my heart sank a little bit when I realised I’d have to watch a Dolph Ziggler/Kofi Kingston bout. Around 2010 it seemed like they were wrestling each other every single week. The matches were never bad, but they were restrained by the WWE-bubble. AJ Styles and Christopher Daniels have wrestled approximately 2848458 times, but because of their freedom they can change little things up each and every time. Kofi and Dolph can’t, and we’re supposed to be amazed by things we’ve seen many times before.

But still, it is Kofi and Dolph, two of the finest in the company, so I can’t be too negative about it. If anything, Jerry Lawler’s abysmal commentary through the match helps it, as I decided to watch it on mute. The whole thing doesn’t even have a finish, as Nexus hit the ring to destroy the two. I can only assume they arrived late, realised that this match was happening and were also irritated that they had to watch it once more. No result.

Born in the middle of Wales in the middle of the 1980's, John can't quite remember when he started watching wrestling but he has a terrible feeling that Dino Bravo was involved. Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
