16. The Bash (Randy Orton Vs. Triple H)

It’s funny: Triple H and Randy Orton are considered some of the better workers of their era, and yet, the in-ring portion of feud from 2008 to 2009 was largely panned as dull, including their panned main event at WrestleMania 25. So it’s amusing that they had a gimmick-laden 3 Stages of Hell match that more resembled an Attitude Era main event that was...alright. It was a fine little match.

The story is that Triple H intentionally disqualifies himself by using a chair in the first fall in order to weaken Orton, and then the match becomes Falls Count Anywhere as he pedigrees Randall onto the floor, getting the pin. The rest of the match then becomes a Stretcher match filled with crowd brawling and interference galore. It’s honestly not that bad, and while Hunter and Randall had both outstayed their welcome by this point, they perform their roles well in this match.

Not exactly a must-see, but not the worst way to spend 20 minutes.
