Stop us if you think that you’ve heard this one before, but it sounds like last night’s WWE Raw was a pretty disorganised affair.

A new report from Fightful Select states that the script wasn’t submitted until less than 25 minutes before the show began. Recent weeks have seen WWE forced into making significant last-minute changes to the show, many of which were outwith their control, further details of which should be forthcoming later in the week.

Barely a week passes without reports of backstage chaos on the day of a WWE show. Vince McMahon’s propensity to change his mind and tear up entire scripts has been known for years; throw the uncertainty and volatility caused by the ongoing global health crisis into the mix and you have a recipe for disarray.

Last night’s Raw was highlighted by AJ Styles emerging as the number one contender to Drew McIntyre’s WWE Title, besting Riddle and Keith Lee in a Triple Threat. He’ll now go on to face the Scotsman at TLC 2020 on 20 December. Randy Orton vs ‘The Fiend’ Bray Wyatt looks like it could be another pay-per-view match, with the duo engaging in a show-opening confrontation.
