Backstage News On What AEW Has Planned For CM Punk's Return

Here's who CM Punk could be feuding with first when he returns to AEW TV.

Fightful Select is reporting that AEW top brass has some fun ideas for CM Punk when the controversial star returns to company TV on June 17's Collision debut.

Whilst there's been no word from AEW sources on a possible feud opposite old WWE rival Chris Jericho, Punk might be clashing with former ROH enemy Samoa Joe. The reigning ROH TV Champion would obviously have to hit Dynamite, Collision and core All Elite programming again for that to happen.

Punk showing up on Ring Of Honor TV post-Collision reintroduction isn't out of the question though, but it's important to note that wasn't included in Fightful's original report and is mere conjecture.

The website did, however, report that Punk has been keeping an eye on Bullet Club Gold member Jay White recently. White and partner Juice Robinson are currently locked in a feud for the AEW Tag-Team Titles vs. FTR, but Punk vs. 'Switchblade' may well be something Tony Khan comes to in time.

So, there you go. No word on matches with Jericho, but both Samoa Joe and Jay White are in the "maybe" pile for CM Punk's return.
