Barely a quarter passes without heavy speculation on where Brock Lesnar's professional future might take him next, and this week's Wrestling Observer Newsletter has brought the latest development, with Dave Meltzer reporting that Lesnar's current WWE contract is set to expire in May or June next year.

This will likely lead to another set of protracted negotiations in which Brock plays every available party against each other in order to secure the best deal for himself. A smart move, and AEW's emergence means he could land a more lucrative contract than ever before, as he now has an unprecedented number of options available to him.

Meltzer's write-up notes that Lesnar's MMA career may now be brought into focus despite Dana White insisting that the 41-year-old's retirement would stick, and that he wouldn't be appearing for the UFC ever again. Regardless, as one of the biggest draws in mixed martial arts history, one would think that White might ease off on his stance should Lesnar want to enter negotiations.

Speculating on where Lensar might end up seems pointless at this time, as the wrestling world could look drastically different by then. Still, expect him to end up richer than ever.
