With some speculating that The Rock will make an appearance at this year's Survivor Series PPV ahead of facing Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 38, it looks like any such Rock vs. Roman bout will have to wait until at least the following year.

Speaking on today's Mat Men Podcast, Andrew Zarian reports that the Great One will actually be in Australia when Survivor Series takes place on 21 November.

While The Rock could always appear via video at Survivor Series, Zarian adds that the focus now is on having the People's Champion battle the Tribal Chief at WrestleMania 39.

The 2023 edition of WWE's Showcase of the Immortals will take place from Inglewood, California's SoFi Stadium on 2 April.

As for what lies on the table for Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 38 next year, that remains to be seen. With recent reports that Reigns' Crown Jewel match against Brock Lesnar will not be the end of things between those two rivals, one would have to imagine that Lesnar may be a very realistic opponent for the Head of the Table at the 2022 'Mania.
