Why beat about the bush? A showdown with Brock Lesnar was the whole reason that so many fans were keen on seeing Bobby Lashley make the switch back to WWE, and it's generally a good idea in wrestling to strike while the iron is hot.

Since Lesnar is likely to be otherwise engaged with his ongoing feud with Roman Reigns until at least the end of this month, a confrontation is unlikely to happen immediately, but you can bet your bottom dollar these two are going to run into each other on Raw relatively soon.

This doesn't even necessarily need the title either. The Beast Incarnate can happily drop the belt to Roman at the Greatest Royal Rumble - as many are again anticipating - and then head into a new programme in the spring and summer with his credibility still in tact.

Losing a big match soon into his run doesn't sound great for Lashley, granted, but Samoa Joe and Braun Strowman both showed last year that defeat to the Universal Champion need not be a momentum-killer - provided that you at least look like you belong in the same ring as him.
