Billy Corgan Wants NWA & NXT Crossover

The NWA President "would love" a CW crossover with NXT.

With the National Wrestling Alliance nowadays airing on The CW App, and with NXT heading to The CW later this year, could we get a crossover between the two? NWA President Billy Corgan certainly isn't against that idea...

Speaking to ComicBook.com (via POST Wrestling), Corgan was asked about a potential crossover between the NWA and NXT.

"I would love that. With NXT coming, we respect that. WWE is a huge, huge company. We've seen recently where they are reaching out to some independents. They worked recently, of course, with TNA. I would love to work with the WWE, but we [are not] sort of thinking [about] it in the sense, like, we're waiting for the phone to ring, but I would love to work with them."

On his previous interactions with WWE, the Smashing Pumpkins man added:

"I've certainly interacted with them through the years, both before I was in wrestling and then, of course, now being in wrestling. They've always treated me great. I have nothing bad to say about them. They're a class organisation through and through, and as far as how they treat people like myself, my experience has been so positive. I have nothing but good feelings towards them."

Whether any working relationship between the NWA and WWE/NXT comes to fruition, we'll have to wait and see, but Billy Corgan is at least open to that possibility.

As alluded to, a five-year deal is now in place for NXT programming to move from USA Network to The CW as of October 2024. The NWA has been airing on The CW App since earlier this year.
