Bray Wyatt came up short in his quest to unseat Dolph Ziggler as number one contender to the WWE Championship, but he may have lost more than just a match.

According to many fans in attendance at Nashville's Smackdown Live, Wyatt rolled his ankle during the bout, forcing the referee to call for help with the "X" symbol. A frustrated Wyatt refused medical attention and finished the match.

Wyatt has been dogged by leg injuries over the past couple of years. The day of WrestleMania 31, "The New Face of Fear" and The Undertaker were working on their match in the ring when Wyatt rolled his ankle. While he was ultimately able to compete on the show, his mobility was limited and the match was largely considered a disappointment.

Following this year's WrestleMania, Wyatt suffered a calf injury during a match in Milan with Roman Reigns. The bout was immediately stopped and Wyatt was helped to the back. He would miss two months of action, and the time on the shelf cancelled a planned feud with The League of Nations and a babyface turn for The Wyatt Family.

Following the WWE draft, Wyatt is arguably the number two heel on Smackdown, making him very valuable to the brand.
