The Harts had evil referee Danny Davis on their side for this six-man tag match at WrestleMania III, going up against eternal rivals The British Bulldogs and Tito Santana, who was the very definition of 'token babyface' at this time. This was the in-ring debut of Davis, coming hot on the heels of Jack Tunney relieving him of his referring duties.

The Harts were the tag champions at the time, defeating the Bulldogs for the straps earlier in the year thanks to the shenanigans of referee Davis. As such, the story of this match is the sneaky cowardly Davis avoiding getting the holy heck thrashed out of him by the notoriously stiff Bulldogs. He can't escape forever, and eventually he gets his.

The good guys get a little too cocky with their punishment however, and instead of putting Davis away for the victory they keep up the beating. This leads to all hell breaking loose, and Davis eventually knocking Davey Boy Smith out with a megaphone for the win. The Harts and the Bulldogs were seemingly incapable of putting on a shoddy match, and this is every bit as good as you'd expect.
