Brock Lesnar's WWE Future Decided Just Hours Before SummerSlam 2018
Nothing is decided...yet
Brock Lesnar is reportedly set for a meeting with WWE executives regarding his future just hours before SummerSlam takes place, according to Ringside News.
They quote Joe Peisich of Barnburner's Fired Up podcast, who claims he's been told by three sources that The Beast Incarnate will have a closed-door meeting with head honchos, saying:-
"Apparently Sunday around 4 o'clock, Brock will meet...maybe Stephanie, Triple H, Vince, or whatever. If he retains the title you can expect Brock Lesnar will be working for both WWE and UFC."
Allegedly, the outcome of Brock Lesnar versus Roman Reigns for the Universal Championship is still up in the air, with some claiming it makes sense to keep it on the former UFC Heavyweight champion if he will be appearing in both promotions. Reigns, when speaking to Yahoo Sports, had other ideas:-
"The fact is, if we had a Universal Champion that showed up on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday...it's going to be a better and more lucrative situation for business all around."
Lesnar has held the title for 500 days but only defended it on six televised occasions, as a result it is feasible he could continue wrestling whilst returning to his MMA career, and it looks like the decision regarding this will be made just hours before SummerSlam on Sunday.
