Charlotte Flair has revealed she pitched working an onscreen relationship with real-life fiancée Andrade to WWE management, doing so in a new interview with TV Insider.

Though the interview was primarily focused on Flair's recent appearance on Punky Brewster, interviewer Scott Fishman found plenty of time to ask questions about Charlotte's wrestling career as well, including one on how she felt about working with Andrade onscreen.

Raw's 'Queen' answered with the following:-

"I’ve actually pitched that. I would be very much open to that. I’ve done a lot in my career, but nobody has seen me in an on-cam relationship, or in that light. I can come across cold on TV."

Charlotte and Andrade have been together since at least February 2019. They confirmed they were engaged to be married on 1 January 2020, but despite all this, they have never appeared as an onscreen couple in WWE.

Flair is currently targeting a Raw Women's Championship match at WrestleMania 37, having challenged Asuka on this week's episode of Raw. Andrade, meanwhile, is off television. He took time off to undergo a minor surgical procedure in October 2020 and is yet to re-emerge, having gone undrafted in that month's WWE Draft. There is currently no word on when he might return.
