5. There Should Be A Statute Of Limitations On Resentment
As I said before, even though Im personally on the side of understanding why Punk would leave, I can also see why people would be angry. Heck, HE was angry, Im sure, and it can be a contagious emotion. And as fans, we become emotionally attached to our favourite wrestlers. We feel annoyed if they arent being featured in a flattering way, disappointed if they get injured, and joyful when they return. I cried like I was at a funeral when Shawn Michaels and Edge retired. But I stopped crying shortly thereafter (hopefully before the show was over), and I feel like 3 months is long enough to feel resentment towards someone whom weve never met. After this long, expressing our continued bitterness starts to reflect poorly on us, and has less to do with CM Punk. Clearly, CM Punk can still arouse a response in people, but I feel that his actions do not warrant such long-held grudges. We will all feel better if we let it go.
