CM Punk's WWE Matches In Chicago Ranked From Worst To Best
10. CM Punk Vs. The Big Show (Night Of Champions 2010)
Actually, make that two of CM Punk's worst WWE matches on pay-per-view.
A year after the 'Straight Edge Superstar' was the reigning World Heavyweight Champion, breaking the hearts of millions of kids and teenage girls all over the globe by ending their hero Jeff Hardy's WWE career, Punk was now working forgettable 4-minute matches on pay-per-view.
Calling Big Show's feud with the Punk-led Straight Edge Society in mid-2010 'one-sided' would be about as obvious as saying water is wet. Heading into this feud-ending match, not only had 'The World's Largest Athlete' unmasked a bald CM Punk in front of the whole world, he'd also defeated the entire group (Punk, Luke Gallows & Joey Mercury) in a three-on-one handicap bout at SummerSlam.
Surely they would let Punk have some kind of revenge at Night of Champions, at the very least a close back-and-forth match to give Punk back some much-needed momentum, no? No.
Four minutes after the bell sounded, CM Punk was already staring at the lights of the AllState Arena, while 'WEEEEEEELLLLL IT'S THE BIG SHOOOOW' played in the background. Well, at least it was some sort of a match, so that makes it automatically better than the previous Big Daddy V entry by default.
