Controversial Title Change On AEW Dynamite

Last night's episode of AEW Dynamite went off the air on a shocking title switch.

The Gunns
AEW

The Gunns are the new AEW World Tag Team Champions, having defeated The Acclaimed on last night's episode of Dynamite.

Colten and Austin scored the victory over Max Caster and Anthony Bowens in a bout heavy on shenanigans. Referee Stephon Smith getting knocked out by a Bowens rolling elbow gave the finish its hook. This moment led to Billy Gunn taking a belt shot from Austin, despite appearing to restrain Bowens prior to this, and although The Acclaimed landed the mic drop moments later, Smith was still down.

Colten attacked Caster while he was trying to bring the groggy official back into the ring. One near-fall later, Bowens had one of the championships cracked across his skill, allowing The Gunns to land a surprising win.

Chants of "bullsh*t" spread across the arena as Colten and Austin celebrated on the ramp. The heels have been feuding with The Acclaimed on and off for several months, with the loyalty of their father, Billy, once the key narrative point. Now, it's all about the World Tag Team Championships.

The Acclaimed held the tag gold for 140 days, having taken them from Swerve In Our Glory last September.
